Denes Kapitany started his studies at the great organist Vilmos Leányfalusi, who has been the artist of the cathedral in Kalocsa up to now, as well. He was the student of Gabriella Mátyus and Endre Virágh at the Béla Bartók Music Conservatory in Miskolc. He acquired his degree in artist-teacher faculty in 1999 in Debrecen. He has been the organist of the Cistercian Abbey in Zirc since 1999.
